Since she was a special education teacher for 15 years prior to me being born, I decided to follow in her footsteps. 1. Developed strong communication skills by supervising and directing over 20 campers from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs, including verbal and nonverbal communication methods. 2. Strengthened problem-solving abilities by adapting to unexpected situations and creating engaging and personalized activities for campers to foster their personal growth and development. 3. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills by collaborating with fellow counselors and camp staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all campers.
