Benefits Solutions Group was created in 1997 by founder, Bruce Leon. His experience in the insurance industry helped him identify a personal insurance need for companies and individuals, thus the creation of a benefits brokerage firm. After establishing Benefits Solutions Group, Bruce realized that in addition to insurance support, small businesses would benefit from outsourcing their HR. In 1998, he added a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) that is known today as Tandem HR.
