At the College of Business at Pacific University, we are continually pushing boundaries in education – exploring new approaches to teaching, different kinds of content creation, and new models of active learning in our classrooms. Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center and Rosemary Anderson High School provides the highest quality services in education, mentoring, family outreach, employment training, and placement. Rosemary Anderson is an accredited alternative high school serving students who are looking for small classes, inspiring teachers, and more whole-life support as they work towards completing their high school diploma or GED. Each student receives individual support from our team of teachers and career training advocates, who works with students to find the best path forward in school and in career preparation. Once connected to our team, we continue to provide mentoring after graduation through the transition to college or career training, and stay with the student until the age of 25. Services include small classes, field trips, mentors, Sylvan tutors, counseling and social support services, employment and training programs, connections to internships, after school classes including yoga, art, drama and music, teen parent programs, and free breakfast and lunch. Here at King’s Way, we are dedicated to providing our students with a Christian education. We believe a Christian school is more than adding Bible classes to a regular school curriculum. Hillsboro Aero Academy, is one of the largest airplane and helicopter training schools in the United States. Thousands of pilots have graduated from our accredited programs and go on to fly for companies all over the world. Learning to fly is an amazing experience, and we have the knowledge, courses and equipment to you get off the ground as soon as possible. Our students received individualized instruction in a one-on-one environment which allows us to customize the training for every student. We have been training pilots since 1980 and are an FAA-approved flight school. We are also accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) Hillsboro Aero Academy has partners with multiple college programs so students can receive a two and four-year college degree in conjunction with their flight training at Hillsboro Aero Academy. All of our aircraft are meticulously maintained and our instructors are highly experienced and dedicated to teaching you the skills you need to fly. Our school campuses located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest offer our students the chance to experience a wide range of weather conditions and challenging terrain to help prepare them for their future careers. These flying conditions give our students the opportunity to learn how to handle a variety of situations and become more skilled pilots. By serving as an advocate, strategist, convener, connector, and educator for diversifying the environmental movement, the Center for Diversity & the Environment is building a movement of leaders and institutions representing a broad cross-section of environmental issues that are dedicated to a more inclusive and unified movement. We reach thousands of environmental professionals and people of color across the U.S.

Our programs are designed to safely challenge every student. Through service, travel, community and cultural exchange – our students receive a unique and personal insight into themselves and the cultures they live within. Our Overseas Educators are trained to facilitate personal growth and learning within the structure of an academic semester. This combination has proven to be the best way to open the eyes of Carpe Diem students to the various perspectives of the people and environments across the world. We challenge our students by consciously teaching them how to be better group leaders and better self-leaders – and how to safely travel independently anywhere in the world.

The Community Cycling Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 with a mission to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits. We partner with communities on neighborhood-based projects and programs. We believe that all Portlanders, regardless of their income, education, or ethnic background, should have the opportunity to choose healthy, active transportation. We remove barriers to bicycling through our programs, which are designed to help kids earn their first bikes, ride to school, or attend Bike Camp. We also have programs that provide bicycles and basic maintenance training to adults who are looking to connect to work or workforce development programs. The Community Cycling Center bike shop is a neighborhood resource and community hub. We operate a full-service repair shop, and offer refurbished and used bicycles to fit any budget.
