Accounting and Administration Management:
• Supervise all accounting operations for firm, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Job Cost
• Prepare and publish timely month end, quarterly and year end closings/statements
• Produce monthly/quarterly/annual payroll and sales tax reporting for OR, WA, CA, NV, ID and MT
• Set up and direct payroll operations for over 100 employees
• Prepare union reports for unions throughout OR, WA, CA, NV, ID and MT
• Provide cash management, including overseeing reconciliation of banking activity
• Compile/prepare for union/tax audit inquiries and resolve any other formal financial inquiries
• Publish detailed accounting procedures for all areas of accounting for training and reference
Past Projects and Accomplishments:
• Created virtual/cloud reporting for service technicians; saving numerous overhead hours by eliminating need to submit physical copies to home office
• Automated union setup in payroll system to efficiently process payroll and accurately report union benefits and state taxes
• Programmed reports in job cost system to automatically calculate customer billings by customer type; previous billings were manually calculated
• Set up job cost reports for Project Managers using phasing/cost codes to track their jobs' progress weekly
• Streamlined vendor payment processes; ensuring that all applicable discounts were taken in a timely manner
