Senior Financial Executive with full responsibility for the planning, staffing, operating performance and leadership of the company's complete financial, accounting and operations functions. Initially recruited as Controller with full responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger, departmental budgeting and IT operations. Directed a 4-person management team and 11 support personnel. Reported directly to VP/General Manager and Owner. Accountable for producing financial statements, dealing directly with the bank and meeting covenant ratios, budgets, health/life insurance, liabilities insurance, Employer's Practice Plan and monthly payroll. Established and managed 401K plan. Generated monthly and annual financial reports as well as fiscal year-end analyses for auditors. Met with Owner on monthly basis to discuss ratio analysis and presented monthly financial summaries to shareholders. Oversaw a full-blown IRS audit (one-year responsibility), resulting in a positive outcome for the company. Improved net profitability following an aggressive cost cutting program.
