For more than 80 years, Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) has stood for the highest standard in internal medicine and its 20 subspecialties and has meant that internists have demonstrated – to their peers and to the public – that they have the clinical judgment, skills and attitudes essential for the delivery of excellent patient care.

Founded in 1907, the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is the world’s first and largest professional organization dedicated to advancing cancer research and its mission to prevent and cure cancer. AACR membership includes more than 54,000 laboratory, translational, and clinical researchers; population scientists; other health care professionals; and patient advocates residing in 130 countries and territories around the world. Presently, 32 percent of members live outside the United States and 22 percent of AACR’s international members are located in countries with emerging economies. The AACR marshals the full spectrum of expertise of the cancer community to accelerate progress in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer by annually convening more than 30 conferences and educational workshops, the largest of which is the AACR Annual Meeting. In addition, the AACR publishes 10 prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals and a magazine for cancer survivors, patients, and their caregivers. The AACR funds meritorious research directly as well as in cooperation with numerous cancer organizations. As the Scientific Partner of Stand Up To Cancer, the AACR provides expert peer review, grants administration, and scientific oversight of team science and individual investigator grants in cancer research that have the potential for near-term patient benefit. The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey cares for those in need, enhances Jewish life and ensures the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community locally, in Israel and around the world. The Federation, which was founded in 1922, serves the Jewish community in Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties. It is the third largest Jewish Federation in New Jersey. OUR MISSION The Urban Affairs Coalition unites government, business, neighborhoods, and individual initiatives to improve the quality of life in the region, build wealth in urban communities, and solve emerging issues. WHO WE ARE We are a Coalition of 80+ partner organizations, large and small, working on diverse issues that immediately affect communities. We strengthen nonprofit organizations through fiscal sponsorship, capacity building, and program evaluation; improve life chances for youth and young adults; and provide economic opportunity to low-income households, working families, and disadvantaged businesses. WHAT WE DO The Coalition shapes public policy and delivers programs that respond to urgent community needs. The problems we face are far too complex for one entity to solve on its own. Our deep community roots and strong linkages to public and private groups allow us to bring together a diverse set of resources around specific issues to drive change from the ground up. The Power of Coalition means that, together, we can accomplish what no one organization can do alone.

The Arc of Atlantic County is a private nonprofit organization that has been making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families since its founding in 1961. Through direct services, education, advocacy and prevention activities, we work in partnership with individuals and their families to make choices possible about how and where they live, learn, play and work.

Founded in 1899 as a traditional, campus-based orphanage, we now provide community-based services for children and families throughout North Carolina. We partner with public agencies to serve children in crisis and we raise private funds to ensure that we can deliver the best in evidence-based services. We have a lifelong commitment to anyone who has come through our residential programs.
