Microwave Engineering Corporation originally named Microwave Research Corporation, was founded in 1968 as a custom design and manufacturing company providing state-of-the-art components, transmission lines and precision test equipment for microwave and communication systems. MEC is one of the original developers of broad band, high power devices, which gained worldwide preeminence in modern EW, ECM and Communication systems. Our product lines cover the spectrum from 0.1 to 100 GHz in various media including rectangular, ridged and circular waveguide, both rigid and flexible; coaxial transmission lines; stripline and antennas. Due to MEC's prominent position and know-how, we have also provided many of our customers with R&D, system design, theoretical studies, field-installation and technical consulting. In 1992, MEC acquired Datron's Tech Systems, also known as Technicraft in Thomaston, Connecticut. Tech Systems was a leading supplier of waveguide assemblies for the military and commercial markets, specializing in flexible waveguide including seamless, twistable and side seam. MEC continues to fabricate, support and expand all of Technicraft's products. On May 31, 2002 MEC acquired SierraCom, a division of Sierra Networks, Inc. They developed and manufactured a broad array of passive microwave components and subsystems for the United States military. Significant customers include the Department of Defense, as well as leading defense OEMs such as BAE, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

Advanced illumination (Ai) is a designer and manufacturer of LED lighting assemblies and drivers for machine vision, industrial imaging, bio-medical and related imaging applications. Ai products provide the highest performance using state-of-the-art LED components, current mode drivers and strobe sources, and rigorous optical and thermal design techniques. Our efficient, lean manufacturing system allows us to provide thousands of standard variations in two weeks or less. Does your factory have an image problem? Machine vision systems are becoming easier to use, but a software algorithm will never be able to detect flawed parts at 100% accuracy without a quality image to inspect. If you are relying on software to compensate for missing or inaccurate data, then your margin of error increases dramatically and you have an image problem! Image Experts for the Factory Floor At Advanced illumination (Ai), we understand how difficult it can be to choose the correct light source in order to acquire the best image for your application, and that while there are many options to choose from, there is often only one solution for a lighting problem. We built our business by focusing on machine vision lighting for the factory floor. Advanced illumination's mission is to make your challenges our challenges by providing complete service and support of tested and proven LED lighting. Our goal is to become the trusted lighting source for factory automation professionals by partnering with the world's leading integrators, distributors, and developers of machine vision technology. The Ai Difference We deliver customized solutions faster than any other supplier of machine vision illumination. Our Stock products ship within three days of receipt of the order - quite often the same or next day - and our Build-to-Order (BTO) products ship within one to three weeks.
