STRATEGIC OFFICE SOLUTIONS OF PA INC.
STRATEGIC OFFICE SOLUTIONS OF PA INC.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
100-499 employees
Strategic Solutions, Inc. (SSI) was established in 1993 to provide solutions for mission critical systems (OT & IT) that organizations depend on for daily success. Engines of productivity are required to perform essential business activity. Legacy in name only, power derived from these engines are reliable, proven and often have infrastructure (hulls, machinery, buildings) built around them. Unlike computer technology replacing installed engines with newer or future technology (electric, renewable power, etc.) is always more expensive, if even possible. Inhibitors include weight/space limitations, fuel cost/availability, engineering and technical support, regulatory (EPA, CARB, IMO, ABS, etc.) to name a few. Our historical business model is to employ or partner with true Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who have decades of experience on the equipment in use. These SMEs have received the highest levels of certification with the OEM, yet recognize that identical units, with consecutive serial numbers will operate differently than the other. Experience in a variety of environments including oil fields and mines (on shore and offshore), Arctic to the desert, islands, villages, cities, boroughs and utilities with all major OEMs. A Hybrid system using an existing powerplant with computer-controlled, precision injection of a customized mixture of flammable gas delivers better fuel economy, produces more power and reduces PM and other harmful emissions. AND reduces the TCO of the engine while extending its life. For those who believe that the only good ICE is a dead ICE, and that power should only come from a renewable power system, this technology creates a JAVONS PARADOX! In our 30+ years in business we are proud of the work we have done and the reputation we have earned. Our goal is to have long term partnerships with both our customers and our business partners. These are our biggest advocates, and we'd be pleased to have them share their stories with you.

CASA OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY
CASA OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY

Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASA of Allegheny County) is a non-profit, social service, community organization in Pittsburgh, PA that recruits and trains volunteers to advocate for children who are before the court as a result of abuse or neglect as defined by the state child welfare laws, living at home or in out-of-home care. No fee is ever charged for this service. Every day, CASA works to expand community activism and awareness regarding dependent children and to promote a child welfare system that is child-focused in its politics and decision making. In 1992, the horrible death of a child in foster care sparked a task force created to address ways to avoid such a tragedy. CASA is named as a potential system improvement and, by 1993, system professionals secured a grant to begin CASA in Allegheny County. Our Mission: To ensure that every child has a safe, supportive and permanent home by providing volunteer advocacy for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the child welfare system. There is no easy answer to the ever-present "What is a CASA?" •A CASA is a volunteer who makes a difference in the lives of children. CASAs are assigned to the most complicated cases of children who have been victims of terrible abuse or neglect. •Our volunteers visit children regularly, contact caseworkers, interview parents, doctors, teachers and therapists, review records, report to the court and testify – all to ensure necessary safety, care and, most importantly, permanence. •Our volunteers make sure that the system operates on a child’s sense of time, being mindful that children are waiting for big decisions to be made. CASA of Allegheny County trains and supports our remarkable volunteers to do the important and life-changing work that they do on behalf of the children they serve.
