Recognized as one of the U.S.’s leading not-for-profit performing arts centers, the Ordway is home to a wide variety of performances that encompass the finest in Broadway musical theater, music, dance, and vocal artists in its Music Theater and Concert Hall. In 1980, Saint Paul resident Sally Ordway Irvine challenged her community to help create a performing arts venue in which her dream of offering “everything from opera to the Russian circus” could be realized. She set an example by making the first donation to a fund that eventually built the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Sally’s vision is alive today as the Ordway presents a robust schedule of theater, dance, music, family events, and educational programs.

Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is the first theatre for young people to win the coveted Tony® Award for Outstanding Regional Theater (2003) and has welcomed more than 11 million people to performances and education programs over the last five decades. Founded over 135 years ago, Schubert Club is one of the nation’s most vibrant music organizations, enriching Minnesota with dynamic concerts, music education programs and museum exhibits. Schubert Club remains as relevant, respected, and resilient today as it has throughout its history. Schubert Club presented its first public recital in 1893. Since then the ​International Artist Series​ has included virtually all of the world’s great recitalists, Jascha Heifetz, Arthur Rubinstein, Cecilia Bartoli, Isaac Stern, Beverly Sills, Yo-Yo Ma and Renée Fleming among them. In 2014, Schubert Club introduced ​Schubert Club Mix​, its convention-breaking performance series in non-traditional venues. Schubert Club also presents ​Music in the Park​ Series (chamber music concerts in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood), free weekly lunchtime ​Courtroom Concerts​in downtown St. Paul, chamber ensemble ​Accordo in Minneapolis venues, and the ​Hill House Chamber Players​ at the historic James J. Hill House. Not only a concert presenter, Schubert Club has engaged in music education programs since 1911.
