The Center for Environment & Society at Washington College (CES) promotes interdisciplinary learning, research and exemplary stewardship of natural and cultural resources. Its primary objective is to support the integration of ecological and social values. The Center is home to the Chester River Watershed Observatory, Geographic Information Systems, Chester River Field Research Station, and the Public Archaeology Laboratory. CES also hosts the Chesapeake Semester and Rural Energy Project and manages Washington College's River and Field Campus. CES offers lecture series, workshops, films and seminars to provide new perspectives and professional developmetnt opportunities for the campus and larger community. Key School engages children from 2.5 years of age through grade 12 in a progressive, coeducational, college-preparatory program on its picturesque 15-acre campus located 4 miles from downtown Annapolis, Maryland. The mission of the Maryland School for the Blind is to serve students with blindness or low vision of all abilities from birth through 21 throughout their educational journey. Our on-campus school serves students in pre-k through high school. We serve over 1500 students statewide. MSB’s Statewide Outreach Services offer expertise and specialized skills to Maryland students, from birth to age 21, with visual impairment and additional disabilities, their families, and local school system staff through various programs and services. MSB’s Outreach staff consist of highly qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, highly trained paraeducators, a Certified Low Vision Specialist, a doctorate-level Psychologist, and a Parent Coordinator. We have programs for: Infant and Toddler services Preschool through Age 21 Training programs for professionals and community partners MSB offers two additional statewide services in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education. Staff who provide these services work closely with MSB’s Outreach programs to promote student success and independence in their local school systems. MSB houses the MIRC, a braille book repository that provides adapted instructional materials for visually impaired students delivered directly to every public school in Maryland

The Independence School serves students age three through grade eight by working toward educational excellence and personal growth.
