Assisted Anchor Brewing Company Cost Accounting Manager manufacturing system implementation: Horizon Manufacturing Solutions- September 2012. Prepared departmental budgets; and researched and communicated budget variances to Sales and Marketing. Extracted data from accounting system and presented related findings to Sales, Marketing and Executive Management. Calculated landed costs of imported goods, entered inventory receipts into the system, prepared various gross margin analyses, and managed inventory. Established and improved internal controls including documentation of workflow, policies, and procedures and controls. Performed intercompany transactions, assisted CFO and Director of Finance in consolidations. Handled tax matters and compiled the necessary information for CPAs to prepare corporate tax returns. Evaluated and improved accounting software functionality to enhance software efficiency and ultimately operating efficiency within the Accounting department and throughout the organization.
