The people at WalletHub have collected and processed a significant amount of data in order to determine in which states the women of the US workforce fare the best and worst.

Analyzing 26 factors like proportion of women-owned businesses, living standards, unemployment rate, and wage disparity, it was ultimately determined that the states with the most favorable conditions for women are Minnesota, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Hawaii, while the states with the least favorable conditions for women based on these metrics are Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

The report also notes that despite improved political representation in recent years with a record number of women currently serving in Congress, women remain more likely to experience poverty, wage disparities, and workplace discrimination, so there is still much work to be done.
