Hopelink is a nonprofit organization working to end poverty in our community. Each year we help more than 64,000 low-income people through programs that provide stability and the skills and knowledge needed to exit poverty. Since 1971, Hopelink has provided support services to people in need in north and east King County and transportation services in King and Snohomish Counties in Washington state. We are a Community Action Agency with programs and services ranging from food banks, energy assistance and housing to literacy training and employment skills, transportation and family development. Hopelink is based in Redmond, Washington, with service centers and food banks in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sno-Valley (Carnation) and Shoreline. In addition to ongoing programs and services, Hopelink also manages several campaigns specifically geared toward helping children: End Summer Hunger helps ensure that kids on summer break have enough to eat when their school's free and reduced fee meals are not available; Kids Need School Supplies provides backpacks and back-to-school tools for kids in low-income families; and Lend a Hoping Hand provides holiday gift rooms where parents and grandparents can "shop"​ for toys and gifts. Annual events include Hopelink Can Madness -- a bracketed tournament between local businesses to help stock food banks following the holidays; an annual October fundraising luncheon at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue (attended by about 1,800 guests every year); and the Turkey Trot 5K Family Fun Run & Walk on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Every year, nearly 4,000 volunteers donate over 62,000 hours; helping people and changing lives.

View a complete list of our locations at positiveplace.org CLUB HISTORY In January 1943, a riot involving more than 100 teens broke out on the corner of 85th and Greenwood in Seattle. Police responded to the incident and looked for an answer to the overall issue of juvenile crime and vandalism, a growing problem in the community. In response, Deputy Joe Woelfert opened the first Boys & Girls Club (originally called the Boys Club) in Washington State—the North Seattle Boys & Girls Club. The Club was a great success, and within two years, eight Clubs sprouted up in the area. Today there are 35 Clubs around greater Seattle, each one focused on enriching the lives of kids every day.

Located in the charming neighborhood of Madison Park, Seattle Tennis Club is nestled on the picturesque​ shores of Lake Washington, boasting panoramic views of downtown Bellevue, the Cascade Mountain Range and Mount Rainier. The Club's roughly eight acres houses 19 tennis courts in total, including six indoor and three clay courts. The property also offers a fitness center, squash courts, pickleball, dining rooms, banquet facilities, a pool, beachfront, boathouse, and Pro Shop. The Washington State Open, the most prestigious tennis tournament in the state, has been hosted here annually since the Club's inception in 1890.​

We offer our Club kids an array of fun and educational programs at all of our seventeen Clubs, as part of the flat membership fee these programs are available to all Club members. Our targeted programs offer young people new opportunities to learn and grow. We nurture our member’s individual strengths, helping them to succeed inside and outside of the Club.

For over 70 years, Friends of Youth has been driven by a belief that all youth should have every opportunity to succeed, and partners with youth and families to provide the relationships, resources, and skills they need to attain personal growth and success. With 24 program sites serving 18 cities in the Puget Sound Region, Friends of Youth provides safe places and emotional support for youth facing circumstances including homelessness, foster care, and behavioral health challenges.
