The Deschutes River Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring streamflow and improving water quality in the Deschutes Basin. To date, we have worked collaboratively with diverse stakeholders throughout Central Oregon to protect more than 208 cfs in the Basin's rivers and streams. That is more than 116 million gallons of water per day!

The Deschutes Land Trust conserves and cares for the lands and waters that sustain Central Oregon, so local communities and the natural world can flourish together for generations to come.

Our mission is to defend and plan for Central Oregon’s livable future. Since 1986, we’ve done just that as Central Oregon’s only dedicated land-use planning watchdog group. We combine expert knowledge of land use law, policy, and planning with grassroots organizing to protect our region’s cherished farm and forest land from development, conserve instream flows for our rivers and springs, defend vital wildlife habitat, and advocate for livable communities. As a community-funded organization, our supporters have been critical to each of our successes. Each initiative we take on is bolstered by Central Oregonians moved to action by their desire to see the region’s natural resources held in trust for future generations.
