Our team of optometrists, vision rehabilitation therapists, teachers, employment specialists and other staff assess one’s needs with empathy and professionalism, seeking to help each individual understand his or her unique vision-related challenges and the resources available to them. Why We Are Here: We live in a world that is designed for those with clear vision, creating challenges for those with less than clear vision. These challenges can be intimidating, isolating, and seemingly unfair, but, we believe the quality of one’s sight should not determine the quality of one’s life. Our mission is to provide support and tools to overcome sight challenges that exist in the visual world. What We Do: We assess each individual’s specific needs, seeking to understand their vision-related challenges and goals. We then create an individualized plan to support them in reaching those goals through training on a variety of tools and techniques. We educate the community about the resources and opportunities available for those with less than clear vision, while also advocating for community awareness in a world designed for those with clear vision. How We Do It: We support individuals of all ages with a high level of compassion and expertise through individualized services that may include: -Vision exams and assessments -Recommendations and instruction on low vision aids and assistive technology -Training on tools and techniques -Education and support to children and families -Employment opportunities within CSC or other organizations -Advocacy for accessibility needs in school, work and community -Recreation and socialization activities -Counseling and peer support groups

The Society for Handicapped Citizens of Medina County, Inc. (SHC/The Arc of Medina County) has been providing services to individuals with disabilities and their families since 1953. The agency provides an array of services with emphasis on helping individuals with disabilities maximize their full potential as members of the community. Youth Opportunities Unlimited helps teens and young adults succeed by providing educational and workforce opportunities, skill development, and access to career pathways. Y.O.U. programs work to ensure every young person is ready to pursue a path to economic self-sufficiency through mentoring, workforce preparation, career exploration, and work experiences that lead to that important first job and post-secondary education or training success. We serve teens and young adults (14-24) living in economically distressed communities. Our programs are developed in partnership with school districts, employers, nonprofits, and government entities. 

Founded in 1948, Stella Maris has been providing transformational chemical dependency and mental health treatment services to anyone regardless of race, religion, gender, or ability to pay. Located in the heart of Cleveland, Stella Maris offers a full continuum of treatment services on one campus, including a centralized intake and detoxification program, inpatient and outpatient programs, housing and residential services, and wraparound supportive services such as case management, LGBTQ+ track, medication assisted treatment (MAT), peer support, primary care medical services, trauma therapy, workforce development training, and family counseling.This holistic approach to treatment creates a transformational recovery community wherein successful treatment, recovery, and sustained sobriety and stability can occur. Stella Maris’s continuum of treatment regularly surpasses industry standards by 30% across every level of care. In 2021, Stella Maris cared for over 3,000 individuals.

CATS manages numerous programs targeted to a variety of specific populations. We offer multiple levels of care ranging from outpatient to residential services. CATS offers services at multiple locations in Cuyahoga & Medina counties. At CATS main site on Broadway Avenue, we serve clients in the following programs: The Cognitive Changes / Therapeutic Community, which provides four to six months of residential treatment to men. The Men’s Residential Treatment Program, which provides treatment from 30 to 90 days. The Women’s Residential Treatment Program, which provides treatment from 30 to 90 days. The Outpatient Program serves individuals providing assessments, individual and group counseling, and case management services. Recovery Housing provides a safe, sober environment for men who have completed treatment and need a safe place to live while they work to secure affordable housing on their own. CATS has served over 40,000 individuals and their families. CATS experiences a 76% success rate, defined as individuals who enter treatment and complete their assigned level of care.

Goodwill Industries of Lorain County is a community-based organization that provides education, job training and employment services as well as job placement and post-employment support. We are located on the "North Coast" of the U.S. on possibly the premier recreational natural resource of Ohio, Lake Erie. We serve all of Lorain County and the eastern parts of Huron and Erie Counties. Goodwill Industries of Lorain County consists of three main divisions that offer training, service, and education opportunities. They also provide the means to fund our mission. We are a private, independent organization, operating as an affiliate member of Goodwill Industries International.
