Responsible for:
• Identify qualified loan applicants that are in compliance with Conventional & Government underwriting guidelines.
• Analyze loan applicant’s income, taxes, W2’s, and profit and loss statements to identify qualifying ratios for mortgage loans.
• Analyze loan applicant’s tri-merge credit reports for qualifying scores for mortgage loans.
• Analyze real property valuations to determine viability of the proposed financial products.
• Identify after credit analysis potential areas of improvement within applicants credit reports to include derogatory items that may materially impact the lending process.
• Coordinating effective communication throughout the loan process between customers and underwriting to ensure rapid response to conditions and closing times.
• Monitor market conditions to optimize the yield spread for clients when negotiating interest rates for mortgages.
• Utilize DU findings to ensure the most complete file submission to underwriting along with potential areas of concern to address and overcome.
• Monitor and manage workflow on loans to identify processing, underwriting, and borrower documentation that must be collected or completed to meet QC and loan program underwriting guidelines to include additional lender overlays.
• Utilize creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills to eliminate potential issues that can arise within the lending process to ensure lender and borrower satisfaction.
