Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS) PCPCS is the largest organization and primary voice for the 170 charter schools and 130,000 charter school children in charter schools in Pennsylvania. We are on the leading edge of education reform and dedicated to achieving choice for parents, quality for children, and accountability for taxpayers in all forms of K-12 public education. To achieve that mission we are engaged in: Advocacy to assure that legislation and administrative policy provide accountability, transparency, high standards of performance and equitable funding for all public schools; to create consistently strong and fair authorizers; and to make certain that all children in public education are treated fairly and equitably. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Amizade inspires empathy, catalyzes social action, and links diverse communities through Fair Trade Learning. Founded in 1994, Amizade offers volunteer programs and service-learning courses in 12 countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Poland, Germany, Puerto Rico, Ghana, Jamaica, India, Trinidad & Tobago, Northern Ireland, Tanzania, and the United States. Through these programs, Amizade has mobilized over 12,000 volunteers who have contributed more than 100,000 hours of service to communities worldwide.
