Zoe Empowers disrupts cycles of poverty among vulnerable youth through a three-year, peer-led program in which participants help one another become safe and healthy, skilled for long-term success, and able to lead meaningful lives within a supportive community. By investing in local, indigenous leaders in seven countries, our distinctive, holistic model provides the vital relationships, training, and resources to empower young participants to become secure, healthy, and connected community members. This three-year empowerment program not only solves the core issues of extreme poverty, but the problems of recipient dependency and donor frustration as well. Zoe Empowers is leading this growing family-based movement by actively sharing and equipping other NGOs, foundations and governments to adopt this successful, participant centric, empowerment model.

The John Rex Endowment's mission is to strengthen organizations that center racial equity and justice to improve the social emotional health of children living in Wake County. Our desired impact is that all children and their families are safe, healthy, and living to their full potential. Background: In April 2000, the UNC Health Care System acquired Rex Healthcare, the system in Wake County that included Rex Hospital. Funds from that transaction were designated to establish the John Rex Endowment to advance the health and well-being of residents. The Endowment is a private grantmaking and advocacy foundation with six full-time employees serving Wake County.

- Managed the $2+ million LGBTQ+ grantmaking budget and portfolio- Served as an external advisor to Funders for LGBTQ+ Issues’ $500K Out in the South Fund from 2020-2022- Served as a donor advisor to Borealis Philanthropy’s $1M Fund for Trans Generations from 2020-2022- Designed a new grantmaking strategy for the LGBTQ+ Equality Fund; managed the process of gathering input from key stakeholders, the generation of the analysis undergirding the strategy and the implementation- Co-designed and led the pilot of two program support funds, a rapid response fund and a capacity building fund; designed the application, managed the implementation of the fund, and developed the evaluation metrics; conducted evidence-based research and generated position papers in support of these pilots- Jointly led process of revamping the foundation’s grantmaking processes in alignment with the new organizational strategy in partnership with the foundation’s Executive Director, which led to changes such as cutting the grant application by 50% and reconfiguring the grants portal to make it easier for grant recipients- Modernized the foundation’s project management and internal communications platforms to increase transparency and productivity across all portfolios- Served as key strategic partnerships leader for the foundation as we identified and executed the strategy to influence the broader field towards racial, gender, and social justice

The International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI) is a not-for-profit R&D consortium of leading electronics manufacturers and suppliers, along with associations, government agencies, and universities. iNEMI roadmaps the future technology requirements of the global electronics manufacturing industry, identifies and prioritizes technology and infrastructure gaps, and helps eliminate those gaps through timely, high-impact collaborations among our members. Camp Corral is a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children of wounded, ill, injured, and fallen military heroes and their families. We accomplish our mission by providing positive summer camp, advocacy, and enrichment programs.
