In 1953, brothers Charles and Pete Dellasega wanted to start a business. The work ethic and formation that they had developed by playing sports high school set them up for success in college and in the military. So, a business that worked with sports, coaches, and athletes made sense. With the goal of recognizing student achievement and success they purchased a sewing machine to produce chenille awards for local athletes – and US Awards was born. In the years after its inception, military relationships and connections with veterans all over the country helped US Awards grow into a national operation. Today, we still call the same place home – Pittsburg, KS.
