Located on the south side of Terre Haute, IN, Gibault was founded in 1921 by the Indiana Knights of Columbus as a home for wayward boys. Over the years, Gibault has evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of troubled kids everywhere. Today, Gibault serves at-risk youth, males and females between the ages of 6 to 21. The children we help struggle with mild emotional disturbances, aggressive and oppositional behaviors, substance abuse issues, learning disabilities, are the victims and perpetrators of physical and sexual abuse, as well as other clinical and behavioral issues. Under the company Gibault, Inc., Gibault Children's Services is a therapeutic residential treatment facility, meaning we offer an array of services on-site to meet the treatment needs of the youth: an accredited school, Holy Cross, where licensed teachers work to meet the academic needs of the youth; a clinical department which oversees the individual therapists that work directly with the youth; a medical department where Registered Nurses oversee the general medical care of the youth; a recreation program which provides year round structured activities for the youth; and an aftercare program which helps the youth transition from our program to their next step in life.
