Sustainably using one of earth’s most beautiful resources to enrich the world around us. 🌳 VENEER | LUMBER | SLABS 🌲 Est. 1966 We are a leading North American producer of architectural wood products. We manufacture and supply wood veneer, lumber and live-edge table top slabs for use in commercial building projects, residential woodwork, automobile dashboards, private aircraft interiors, yacht interiors, office & residential furniture and many more applications. M. Bohlke Corp. was founded in 1966 by Manfred Bohlke, who still owns and operates the daily aspects of the business. We employ over 240 people in the Southwestern Ohio region as well as remotely throughout the United States. We have a strong commitment to the preservation and protection of the forests which supply our raw materials. We work with timberland owners to responsibly harvest their trees in a selective manner. By purchasing our trees and logs from private landowners and government owned properties that hire state-certified foresters to mark mature trees for harvest, we are preserving our forests by leaving the smaller trees for further growth and future generations. For years M. Bohlke Corp has invested, developed and patented the latest technology to produce the most out of logs. M. Bohlke Corp supports and complies with the standards of the following organizations who are all dedicated to preserving and enhancing our natural resources: FSC, HFF, SCS, ATFS, CITES, GreenBlue, metaFore and PEFC. We can also provide the requirements necessary to get LEED credits for your project.

Winchester, Kentucky

Our company manufactures sliced and rotary hardwood veneer. We were founded in 1914 by George E. Tomlinson, the great-grand father of our current owners. Until Mr. Tomlinson’s death in 1953, the company (called The George E. Tomlinson Co. at the time) manufactured hardwood lumber, tobacco hogsheads and Tomlinson Takedown banquet tables. Following Mr. Tomlinson’s death in 1953 his grandson, Gene Freeman, took over the business and expanded the company by adding the export of walnut veneer logs and then building his own hardwood sliced veneer production facility in 1967. In 1982 Mr. Freeman’s two sons, Reid and George Freeman, joined the business. In 1990 a rotary veneer operation was added. Throughout the past 25 years, the company has constantly reinvested back into its operations and has now expanded to encompass a 44 acres site with over 6 acres under roof. Our products are sold throughout the United States and to customers in over 20 other countries. Typical customers are manufacturers of office furniture, doors, 4x8 panel producers, kitchen cabinet and residential furniture manufacturers, as well as sales to custom millwork businesses. In addition, our rotary veneer products can be found in engineered flooring for most of the major manufacturers.
