The DRA, through its gaming and entertainment facilities, provides for social, economic and community betterment and lessens the burden of Dubuque city and area government, while contributing to the growth and viability of Dubuque area tourism. We are different. The DRA is unique because we are one of only two gaming organizations in the country established and run for the benefit of a local government entity. In fact, since our founding we have contributed more than $244 million back to the City of Dubuque. Our business model is simple. We distribute 100% of our winnings after expenses, which includes the 4.5% of adjusted gross receipts we receive monthly from the Diamond Jo Casino. A third of the money goes to area charities, a third goes to the City of Dubuque, and a third will now go toward efforts to develop and enhance amenities on the city-owned Schmitt Island. Anant Enterprises was formed through a partnership between Dr. Deepak Gangahar and Kirti (Kirt) Trivedi. Anant Enterprises' main functions are real estate development, operations management, and construction. Dr. Deepak Gangahar led and operated a prominent cardiac surgical practice in Lincoln & Omaha for 35 years. He is Co-Founder & Developer of Nebraska Heart Institute and Nebraska Heart Hospital, where he served as President until his retirement from medical practice in April 2015. Dr. Ganahar was appointed Chair of the TeamMates Board of Directors on January 1, 2021, where he continues to serve today. Kirt Trivedi grew up in Pueblo, CO. He has grown up in the construction and hospitality industry. His first private development occurred in McCook, NE in 2000. Since then, Kirt has developed assets with Wyndham, Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and Starwood. Dr. Gangahar and Kirt Trivedi began their relationship in 2006.
