Project Harmony Child Protection Center is a community-based organization providing child-friendly, centralized and integrated child abuse assessment and investigation for children throughout eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. Project Harmony works with state human services and local law enforcement agencies to protect the child and prosecute the offender. This past year, 8,064 children sought services at Project Harmony. Since the opening of Project Harmony in 1996 more than 64,000 children have received vital services in prevention and child abuse assessment, investigation and treatment referral. Prosecution rates have increased and abused children and their families are able to get professional help in the process of healing. The Project Harmony Training Institute was established in 2007 and since that time more than 30,000 students, citizens and professionals have been taught the best methods to assess and respond to children and their families who have been impacted by abuse and neglect. Project Harmony and its partner agencies work together to serve families throughout the communities of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. This collaborative effort provides effective, immediate and sensitive support to child victims and their non-offending family members, improved communication and case resolution.

Friendship Home exists to support, shelter and advocate for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Friendship Home Seeks To: Provide a continuum of safe, confidential shelter options—from emergency shelter through transitional shelter. Provide a rich array of crisis intervention services, case management, and emotional support to those we shelter as well as those who are waiting for shelter; helping them to rebuild their lives, free from fear. Address the many complexities and barriers associated with domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking on an individual level as well as a community systems level. Continue to reach out to survivors through individual advocacy, emergency case management, and support groups after they leave shelter, offering an environment where survivors feel welcome and are encouraged to share their stories and their wisdom with others.

The Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (SWWDB) is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting innovation and providing quality local workforce development programs and services to businesses and residents in Southwest Wisconsin. The VINE Adult Community Center offers a variety of fun and interesting activities to appeal to adults age 55+. Events include such things as book clubs, speakers, bus trips, celebrations, special dinners and social and recreational activities. In addition to the recreational and social activities provided, we offer a variety of different health and fitness classes. Our professional staff coordinates a variety of fitness programs to help people connect with friends and neighbors and enjoy physical, emotional and spiritual wellness throughout their later years.
