PRICE TRANSFER, INC.
PRICE TRANSFER, INC.
Rancho Dominguez, California
100-499 employees
Price Transfer was founded in 1934 as a small family-owned business with one truck hauling personal effects and baggage to and from the ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach. Today, we are an industry-leading, multifaceted transportation and warehouse company serving the complex needs of the import/export community and nationwide domestic customers. We were instrumental in the development of the U.S. Customs & Border Protection Centralized Examination Station (CES) process. In 1985, Price Transfer, Inc. was selected as a pilot location for this innovative new program in which CBP officers were stationed on-site at our warehouse. By centralizing the exam process, freight could be inspected without the typical delays associated with unpredictable travel conditions, scheduling challenges, as well as the inability of some importers to provide the proper conditions for the exam itself. As a result of this successful pilot program, the CES process has been emulated across the country. Today, the Price Transfer Group is the largest provider of CBP / Homeland Security CES services in the country.
