The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Company is a class II regional railroad that has approximately 840 miles of track in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Iowa Interstate Railroad, LLC is a privately held Delaware Limited Liability Company and subsidiary of Railroad Development Corporation. It is also one of the few Regional Railroads that connects with the entire Class 1 railroad system (BNSF, UP, CN, CP, KCS, CSXT, and NS) at multiple locations. Our service runs from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Chicago with a branch line to Peoria, Illinois. We also provide daily service to Cedar Rapids, Iowa over the CIC railway. As a result, IAIS customers have the capability to ship and receive their goods to or from anywhere in North America. We also provide Intermodal facilities at Blue Island, Illinois and Council Bluffs, Iowa. Our service pattern is 7 days per week between the Omaha area and Chicago. We also offer access to the Mississippi and Illinois River terminals for rail to barge or barge to rail service. Trans-load facilities are also located in Council Bluffs and Newton Iowa. Our locomotive fleet, track, and facilities are maintained to high standards and continually upgraded to provide safe reliable service to our customers and employees. We handle a wide range of commodities that include agricultural products, plastics, paper, steel, scrap, lumber and coal. We currently have access to over 1 billion gallons of ethanol and as such, we are one of the top carriers in the ethanol/feed market, sending many unit trains of product to markets throughout the U.S. each week. We are a member of the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and American Short-line and Regional Rail Association (ASLRRA).

Since 1889, the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis has played a vital role in the railroad operations and growth of the St. Louis metropolitan area. The Association was originally created to satisfy the need for an efficient, safe, and economical method of interchanging rail traffic at the railroad hub of St. Louis, Missouri: the "Gateway to the West." Over 120 years later, the employees of the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis make the same commitment to efficiency, safety, and value to our customers, owners, and the public with each new day.

The Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad is the largest switch carrier in the U.S. with 54 miles of mainline track (24 miles of which is double main track) and 266 miles of additional yard and siding track. The IHB provides a wide variety of services, including industrial switching with 160 customers, generating 170,000 carloads of business annually.

The Belt Railway is the largest intermediate switching terminal railroad in the United States, employing approximately 450 people. The Belt has 28 miles of mainline route with more than 300 miles of switching tracks, allowing it to interchange with every railroad serving the Chicago rail hub. The Belt’s Clearing Yards span a 5.5 mile distance among 786 acres, supporting more than 250 miles of track.
