The company that is Eagle Brands today is the descendant of a family-owned business built from the ground up by enterprising, visionary Cuban immigrants. Eagle Brands’ ongoing commitment to our suppliers, customers, employees and the Florida communities where we live and work reflects the same core values of our heritage: dedication and hard work, competitive drive, and an unrelenting focus on performance. Founded in 1984, Eagle Brands was formed as the result of the segmentation of South Florida’s beer distribution network. Shortly thereafter, Eagle Brands purchased Southeast Beverage Corporation, tripling its overall volume and beginning a period of steady growth. Today, Eagle Brands distributes more than 8 million cases of beer, wine, cider and non-alcoholic products annually to nearly 4,500 retail customers in Dade and Monroe counties, with annual sales in excess of $160 million. Eagle Brands’ 300+ full-time employees represent the many diverse and vibrant cultures of South Florida. With more than half of our workforce native Spanish-speakers, our day-to-day business operations are conducted in both Spanish and English. By providing hundreds of local jobs that offer family health care benefits and salaries well above the regional average, Eagle Brands is helping ensure the stability and growth of our local, regional and state economies. Ninety-five percent of the property, payroll, transportation and excise taxes generated by our business each year provide millions of dollars to bolster public education through Florida’s Step-Up for Students program. In addition, Eagle Brands contributes annually to the support of dozens of charitable, educational, sports and veterans’ organizations.

Falcon Farms was founded in 1987 as a distribution company for Colombian and Ecuadorian flower growers. In 1989, Falcon Farms began implementing a strategy to become a totally integrated flower company by opening its first farm in Colombia. In 1990s Falcon started its first farm in Ecuador. This enabled Falcon to produce, market and distribute flowers to all major markets from farm to retail. Additional acquisitions of farms in Colombia and Ecuador, as well as building new farms from the ground up are key to maintaining a competitive edge and to sustain and grow the business. In 2001, Falcon Farms acquired Petals Distributing (Cumming, GA) to further improve distribution capacity. In 2003, Falcon opened a West Coast Operation under the name of Pacifica Farms to service the West Coast marketplace. During the mid and late 2000’s Falcon’s strategy was concentrated in increasing farms land to achieve economies of scale. From the late 2000’s to date, Falcon’s strategy changed to maximizing productivity and overall consistency in its operations. All our farms have been Rainforest, BASC and C-TPAT Certified, positioning Falcon in a long term sustainable agricultural model.
