More than 80,000 of our local friends, neighbors and family members don’t know where their next meal is coming from. It could be your restaurant server or grocery store clerk. Hidden Hunger is in plain sight. Hunger isn’t going anywhere and neither is the Placer Food Bank. For 50 years, the Placer Food Bank has made meaningful progress towards ending hunger but our mission is far from complete. We continue to fill food pantries, send students home with groceries to last the weekend, and stretch every $1 of groceries to $8, thanks to our generous partners, volunteers and sponsors. And you know what? These donors in our community look just like… you. We have this unwavering belief that Hidden Donors can solve Hidden Hunger in our community. The California Water Efficiency Partnership (formerly the California Urban Water Conservation Council) is an innovative leader, voice and expert on water efficiency in California that fosters collaboration among a wide variety of stakeholders. The Gender Health Center is a non-profit organization meeting the counseling needs of the WHOLE community in Sacramento and the surrounding areas by making our services accessible to the most underserved communities, including the LGBTQQI community and focusing on the "T" or transgender. At the Gender Health Center, we strive to provide excellent counseling/therapy services to anyone who expresses the need as well as anyone who self identifies or is perceived to be gender variant.
