Women Don’t Feel Comfortable Taking Advantage of Flexibility at Work

Fewer than 1 out of 4 women said they have a high degree of flexibility in their jobs despite the fact that flexibility - especially about when to work as opposed to where - is a major factor that influences their career decisions.

Perhaps more worrisome, almost all women (97%) think that their career trajectory and possibility for promotion will be negatively impacted if they utilize work flexibility options offered by their companies.

Further, more than 1 out of 3 of women who have adopted some degree of hybrid schedule report experiencing exclusion and insufficient contact with senior leadership as a result.
