A recently released survey by cloud security provider Barracuda Networks Inc. reveals that 73% of organizations experienced successful ransomware attacks last year. Further, of those organizations that were attacked once, 38% were attacked a second time and in many cases more.

Interestingly, there was a greater than 10% jump in likelihood that an affected organization would choose to pay out the ransom in order to regain access to their data/systems after an organization had been attacked for the third time when compared to organizations propensity to pay out after their first malware attack.

You can read more about that data and survey here.
