Prioritizing Flexibility in the Workplace for Women

A new study by The Mom Project, a talent marketplace for women, surveyed more than 1,700 respondents—both men and women across a diversity of industries—and found women rated their current level of workplace flexibility significantly below their male coworkers.  

Pamela Cohen, the chief research and analytics officer at The Mom Project, explains employers should prioritize embedding a culture of flexibility in the workplace policies for women specifically.

The Mom Project's research notes that women are 1.5 times more likely to prefer flexible hours within their workday than men.

Regarding best practices for employers, Cohen stresses the importance of promoting that employees utilize paid time off to manage a healthy work-life balance, a feasible workload, and policy support from the organization as a whole.
