Employees Crave More Learning Opportunities Than Employers Are Providing‍

According to The University of Phoenix’s 2022 Career Optimism Study, 89% of employers believe that additional learning and development opportunities provided to their employees are provided frequently, while only 61% of employees agree. 

One of the most significant impacts this gap can have is on employee retention, given that up-skilling is a key factor that enables mobility within a company, and mobility being an important metric in terms of employees’ likelihood to stay with a company long after 2 years of employment, with a 19% greater likelihood of staying for those employees who had already experienced an internal move by the 2-year mark.
