Risk & Insurance released a piece from an on-site healthcare provider that discusses some of the different on-site models companies may consider adding to their employee benefits offerings as well as some of the intrinsic benefits of bringing healthcare services directly to your employees at your place of business.

The models range from episodic, one-off visits for special purposes (e.g. vaccinations, annual checkups, screenings, etc.) to recurring visits from physical therapists and/or registered nurses and/or physicians depending on the breadth of services you’d like to make available to your employees.

While details are scant in terms of quantifiable data on the potential cost-benefit analysis for offering on-site care, the on-site provider does claim that a larger number of employees taking advantage of the offered on-site services leads to a larger ROI for companies in terms of increased employee productivity and net health expenditure savings as a result of preventative care and the earlier detection of emerging conditions.
