Are Caregiving Benefits the Next Employee Benefit Package Staple?

According to a survey from Care.com, 95% of employers are in the process of reconfiguring their employee benefits packages, largely driven by the desire to improve productivity amid concerns about economic downturn. 

Interestingly, caregiving benefits have emerged as a major contributor that employers have turned to in addressing these concerns. In fact, nearly half of all employers in the US (46%) are prioritizing childcare benefits among their employee benefits offerings, while only slightly fewer (43%) have added senior care benefits, as well. 

These kinds of benefits have become especially important to the Millennial generation, which makes up the largest percentage of the current US workforce (35%) while simultaneously raising their Gen Z and Gen Alpha offspring and taking over an increasing amount of caregiving responsibilities for their aging Baby Boomer parents, as well.
