We operate a 208-acre Farm that infuses half a million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables into our food bank's supply annually. We run innovative programs like the Fresh Picks Mobile Market and a nationally-recognized summer meals program for kids. We advocate for strong federal nutrition programs including FoodShare, school meals, summer meals, WIC and senior nutrition programs Milwaukee is the second poorest city in the country, with a staggering 43% child poverty rate. Each month in Milwaukee County, 35,000 people receive help from food pantries and 60,000 meals are served at soup kitchens and shelters.
