What started as a tiny therapy program in 1979 has grown into the largest and most comprehensive independent nonprofit pediatric therapy program in the state. We provide unsurpassed services for thousands of children with developmental delays and disabilities each year. We begin by celebrating where each child is today. Founded in 1982, the Institute's mission is to develop, deliver and disseminate evidence based child welfare programs to keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce the need for placing children into state-funded care. IFD's programs have been replicated in over 40 states and 8 other countries, and have received recognition from the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), the Washington State Institute for Public Policy and the U.S. Surgeon General.

Community Youth Services (CYS) is a non-profit organization actively working in the communities in Thurston, Mason, Lewis and Pierce counties. Through an array of programs CYS offers a continuum of care to help youth, ages 12-24, find their way toward safety, stability and success.
