As a Children's Ministry Intern for Glenwood Community Church, I had the opportunity to explore my potential to lead effectively as well my ability to thrive within a team environment. Through the internship, I was placed in a position in which I was tasked with planning and coordinating events alongside the whole Children’s Ministry team. In addition, I was given the opportunity to help raise support for mentally and physically disabled orphans in Taiyuan, China. Over the course of 5 days, through presenting in front of hundreds of parents and children, I was able to help raise thousands of dollars of support for the orphans.
