As an MSW Intern at Boomerang Youth, I conducted an alternative to suspension strength-based program that focused on personal accountability, development of self, and goal-based re-entry plan for Carrboro high school and middle school students return to school. Additionally, I facilitated psychosocial activities and created SMART goals with a strengths-based lens while utilizing individual interventions including psycho-education and skill building. I also created a resource guide to inform students and families of housing, health, finances, education, food, and other emergency resources available in the Chapel Hill community.

Facilitate and support the collaborative partnership of community stakeholders who are working to reengage disconnected youth through a coordinated, aligned strategy and system of supports. Maintain and regularly review the registry of best practices relevant to ongoing program development and enhancement and ensure a continuous improvement process guides the strategy. Work collaboratively with partners to ensure effective program evaluation, document key learnings, and provide feedback to Made in Durham leadership infrastructure. Manage all aspects of administration and compliance related to grant funds that support the work. Manage the design and implementation of a program portfolio that partners with education, government, youth, nonprofit and business organizations to improve systems that will achieve measurable improvements in education and career outcomes for young people in Durham County. Work with the MID team to develop projects and/or pilots that can be evaluated and scaled to have a county-wide level of impact and support philanthropic goals through such demonstration projects. Ensure best practices are embedded in the work of the partnership and that programs and key learnings are disseminated among both partners and stakeholders. Manage and support staff responsible for program development and implementation. Position Responsibilities: Work with partners and staff to ensure ongoing alignment with principles of collective impact as related to key organizational strategies and goals. Support staff responsible for the design, development, and implementation of programs and pilots designed to advance partnership goals. The mission of the Me Fine Foundation is to provide hope through emotional support and financial assistance to families whose children are receiving care at North Carolina partner hospitals. The Me Fine Foundation was founded by Lori Lee in memory of her son, Folden, who inspired the organization's name. As he was undergoing treatment for leukemia, Folden would tell his medical team when asked how he was feeling: "me fine!"​ Folden's legacy lives on more than 14 years later and has grown. In 2013, Me Fine acquired Striving For More, a nonprofit created to ensure families navigating pediatric illness had access to emotional and pyscosocial resources to process their experiences, tell their stories, and connect with others. Since 2014, Me Fine has provided financial assistance to more than 1,900 families and touched thousands more through the various hospital-based support programs.
