Founded in 1973, Senior Connections is a nonprofit agency with a mission to provide essential home and community-based care to maximize independence for seniors. We provide home delivered meals, in-home care, home repair and operate DeKalb County Senior Centers with an emphasis on health and wellness. Funding for our services comes from a variety of sources: contract for services; private donations; grants; proceeds from our Connections Catering. All services are available free of charge (if qualified); partial pay; or private pay. We produce more than 3,000 meals each day deliver meals throughout metro Atlanta and middle Georgia. We provide more than 50,000 hours of in-home care annually and pump millions back into communities through senior home repairs.

DARS includes the Adult Protective Services Division, the Division for Community Living, Disability Determination Services, the Division of Rehabilitative Services, Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center, the Office of Community Integration and the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman.

Friends Association is one of the longest running child welfare non-profit organizations in Pennsylvania and has its roots in Quaker tradition. Beginning in 1822, a group of abolitionist women in Philadelphia came together to provide a home for children who had lost their parents, many as a result of being held captive and enslaved. Throughout the years, the organization has changed and evolved but has always focused on the protection of children and on recognizing the inherent value of each member of society. In 2010, Friends began to focus its mission entirely on ending family homelessness in Chester County. Friends provides programs and services that prevent homelessness and promote the independence of families with children. We are unique in that we focus on keeping families together during times of crisis while connecting them with strengths-based case management and community resources. We support all families experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness in Chester County structured as they are when we meet them, including single moms and dads, two-parent, multi-generational, grandparent, and LGBTQ+ families. The overarching goal of Friends’ programming is to make homelessness for families in our community rare, brief, and non-recurring by providing emergency housing for families who have lost their homes, and through prevention programs that keep families stably housed while providing essential wrap-around services. Friends offers support for families throughout Chester County through four pillars of service: Preventing homelessness, Providing emergency housing, Partnering with families to support their stability, and Promoting systemic change. We are committed to the vision of creating an equitable community, where every family is healthy, housed, resilient, and can realize their full potential. We believe that housing is a basic human right and that we have the resources, creativity, and drive to change systems and end homelessness for all.

Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving youth in crisis since 1846. We now provide transitional living services, specialized education, and therapeutic resources to youth with emotional and behavioral health concerns. Program fees paid for with public dollars only cover a portion of what is needed to provide the trauma-informed care youth in crisis require. Nearly 50% of VHBG’s budget is supported by philanthropic dollars and other sources of income. Community volunteers play a critical role in supporting the organization’s needs. Our mission is to restore hope through teaching and healing to ensure youth, young adults, and their families thrive. We help youth across Virginia with emotional and behavioral health concerns by facilitating the healing process using a relationship-based, cognitive-behavioral approach. The trauma-informed care youth receive in our group homes, independent living apartments, specialized K-12 school (John G. Wood), and therapeutic resource center restores hope to them and their families who then find the courage to thrive.
