Liphart Steel Company, Inc. has served as a major source for a structural steel and miscellaneous metal contractor since its founding in 1938. As such, Liphart has successfully completed hundreds of specialized and innovative projects throughout Virginia and surrounding Mid-Atlantic States. These projects have been as varied as athletic/ recreational facilities, hospitals, higher education, and multi-story office buildings. Since we are an employee-owned company, Liphart proudly provides that extra quality that shows a genuine pride in performance and we have the reputation for superior craftsmanship, dependable service and competent personnel, no matter how large, small, or complex the project. In addition to the main fabricating facility in Richmond, a branch operation was established in 1975 in Verona, Virginia. This operation has a full staff of sales and production personnel allowing us to better serve the western part of the state. Additionally, when the size or schedule of a project demands, both facilities can team up to satisfy the most rigorous requirements. Both facilities stock a large inventory and are equipped with the latest welding and metal fabricating equipment. Liphart Steel is also an AISC Certified Fabrication Facility. This AISC Quality Management System (QMS) Certification sets the quality standard for the steel industry through the rigorous evaluations and audits. It also allows Liphart Steel to demonstrate our commitment to quality throughout the fabrication process.
