Visit Salt Lake is a private, non-profit community organization promoting Salt Lake as a travel destination. Visit Salt Lake and its members provide assistance to convention and meeting professionals, tourism professionals, media and visitors.

Founded in 1971, a 501(c)3, our mission is “empowering people to heal and build better lives.” We are the largest and most comprehensive addiction program in Utah. Every decision made at Odyssey hinges on what is best for those we serve. Our programs treat the “whole person” with evidence-based models to help people successfully overcome each barrier they may face. Our services genuinely address each aspect of the individual, producing whole person change.

The mission of First Step House is to help people build lives of meaning, purpose, and recovery. Founded in 1958, First Step House has evolved into a co-occurring capable, behavioral health treatment and housing provider. First Step House is accredited by the Joint Commission, the leading healthcare accreditation entity in the U.S., for our continuous compliance with performance standards and commitment to providing safe and quality patient care. We have been a consistent leader in the Salt Lake metro area delivering evidence-based interventions and achieving positive outcomes for individuals, Veterans, and families who struggle with high severity substance use disorders, histories of homelessness, mental health conditions, justice system involvement, and primary health concerns. We operate two residential treatment facilities, two outpatient treatment centers, and six transitional housing facilities in Salt Lake County, Utah. We are currently in the process of building two permanent supportive housing facilities for individuals with histories of homelessness, serious mental illness, and substance use disorders. The scope of services we offer include substance use disorder and mental health assessment, residential and outpatient treatment, recovery residence services, housing, case management, employment support, primary health care, peer support services, and long-term recovery management. Through our programs, we serve over 1,000 individuals per year- many of who arrive at our doorstep with very little resources, lack of family support, and numerous barriers to overcome.

The Salt Lake Chamber is Utah’s largest and longest-standing business association. CAPSA is a nonprofit domestic violence, sexual abuse, and rape recovery center serving Cache Valley and the Bear Lake area. We provide support services for women, men, and children impacted by abuse. All of our services are FREE and confidential.

The Family Place was established in 1982 as a small facility in Logan, Utah, known as The Child & Family Support Center. We began with the goal of providing a safe shelter for children involved in crisis situations, and has since expanded to meet the needs of all families in our community. We now have three locations in Logan, Hyrum, and Smithfield and serve families in Cache and Rich Counties. The Family Place’s mission is to strengthen families and protect children. We do this by providing fun, family-focused events in the community as well as offering a variety of services such as therapy, educational workshops, and our Kid’s Place. The Family Place will always be known as a place for families of all kinds. We welcome anyone who wishes to grow closer to his or her family to come learn with us! The Family Place is a private 501(c) 3 nonprofit charitable organization governed by a board of directors consisting of local citizens. The organization receives funding primarily through community grants and private donors. In addition to financial funding, The Family Place receives supply donations from various businesses and community members. Many volunteer hours are also given to aid in the progression of The Family Place.

The Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University explores the scientific foundations of the interaction between individuals, business, and government to improve well-being for individuals and society. Our focus is on producing research and impactful learning experiences that allow us to understand and share knowledge on the factors that increase economic growth and individual opportunity. In January 1997, the Envision Utah Public/Private Partnership was formed to guide the development of a broadly and publicly supported Quality Growth Strategy - a vision to protect Utah's environment, economic strength, and quality of life for generations to come. Five years of scenarios analysis, research and public involvement have helped Envision Utah bring the topic of planning and preparing for growth to the forefront of the public mind. With the help of thousands of Utah residents, Envision Utah has developed a Quality Growth Strategy that will help preserve critical lands, promote water conservation and clean air, improve our region-wide transportation systems, and provide housing options for all residents.
