Glacial Lakes Corn Processors (GLCP), was formed in May 2001 as a South Dakota Cooperative comprised of over 4,000 shareholders. GLCP owns 100% of four ethanol production plants. In 2007, the facility was expanded and currently produces 130+ mgy of ethanol per year. Redfield Energy, LLC, a dry mill plant, became operational in April 2007 and has the capacity to process approximately 20 million bushels of corn into ethanol per year. The plant produces approximately 230,000 tons of modified wet and dried distillers grain, which is sold to the local and west coast markets.
