With your help, we have the opportunity to give young people in a small rural community a sense of The Boys &Girls Clubs of Western Lane County was founded in 1998 to serve the needs of the families of Florence and the surrounding communities. The Club provides a safe, educational, cost-effective environment for the families of our community 5 days per week, year-round. Our philosophy is simple; we never charge more than the poorest family can afford. Our annual membership fee is just $25 per child and no child will ever be excluded based on their ability to pay. The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Lane County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We provide a safe, positive place to learn and grow, life-enhancing programs staffed by caring adult professionals, character development experiences that promote responsibility, compassion, and service to others, goals to instill confidence & hope through opportunity. Our Club provides diverse activities that meet the interests of all youth. Core programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers, and family members that enable them to develop self-esteem and reach their full potential. Programs are designed to meet the academic, physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs and interests of our young people.
