FINANCIAL BEGINNINGS
FINANCIAL BEGINNINGS
Portland, Oregon

Financial Beginnings USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides finance education to youth and adults. The generosity of community members, volunteers, businesses, and foundations enables Financial Beginnings and its affiliates to provide financial literacy programs at no cost. Together, we are working to improve quality of life and strengthen communities in which individuals thrive. We have developed customized curricula for elementary school-, middle school-, and high-school-age youth, as well as programming for adults, high-risk college students, Spanish speakers, and more. Programs meet or exceed state education standards, and are always offered at no cost to the participant, partnering organization, or educational institution. Our programs increase equitable economic advancement and bolster communities that value financial education. This year alone, our volunteers will teach finance education to over 50,000 individuals in classrooms/online and in the community. We believe that early financial education is the pathway to a financially literate nation where individuals cease to see finances as a barrier and instead view them as a tool to realize their dreams. In a financially literate nation, individuals are vested in and contribute to a healthy economic system nationally, regionally, and in their own neighborhoods. The need for increased financial literacy is national in scope. In an effort to share our impactful programming throughout the country, we are seeking interested parties wanting to start a Financial Beginnings affiliate in their community. Contact us today to learn how you can help share Financial Beginnings programming in your state.
