Northwest Human Services has been providing residents of Marion and Polk counties with comprehensive medical, dental, psychiatry, mental health, and social services for over 45 years. Our programs are integrated and designed to maximize support for those in our community who need it most - underserved, homeless, low income families, uninsured individuals, and migrant workers. We offer medical, dental and mental health services on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. No one is turned away due to their inability to pay. Homeless youth and adults at our HOST and HOAP Programs access basic needs services, case management, peer support, and health care at our Community Health Centers. Our Crisis & Information Hotline provides 24 hour crisis support and suicide intervention as well as limited emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, and prescription medications. Our Vision: As long as there is a need, Northwest Human Services will continue to be a safety net providing health care and social services in our community. CHANGING LIVES, ONE MEAL AT A TIME. https://www.mowp.org/ HOW WE'VE GROWN Meals on Wheels People produces 5,000 nutritious meals every weekday in a 14,000-square-foot commercial kitchen in the heart of Multnomah Village. Meals are delivered to dozens of dining centers throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clark counties where they are served at noon to older adults in the dining rooms or sent out as Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors. VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN Volunteers are the heart and soul of Meals on Wheels People and we depend on more than 400 people every day to help prepare and deliver meals. The volunteer with a friendly smile and nutritious meal is often the only person some of our homebound seniors will see on an average day. MAKING MEALS AVAILABLE Meals on Wheels People meals are available to anyone over the age of 60. Each meal costs $10.50 and seniors are encouraged to donate what they can afford. Weekend and Holiday meals are provided to those who have no other source of food or support.

NHA's mission is to create opportunity through housing. We build and rehabilitate affordable housing for Oregonians earning low incomes including seniors, families and people with special needs. NHA also operates the Annie Ross House shelter for homeless families with children and provide rapid re-housing and stabilization services through our HomeBase program. Home is a place of safety and retreat, a place where family and community can grow. For some Oregonians with low incomes, having a place to call home is out of reach. Low wages or fixed incomes combined with the high cost of housing forces these families to choose between rent, utilities, nutritious food, medications and other basic necessities. NHA is working to provide new opportunities through quality affordable housing.
