Family & Children's Aid (FCA) is a community-based, non-profit agency designed to help support and heal Connecticut's children, adolescents and their families by providing high quality emerging and evidence-based mental health services. FCA believes that seeking help is a sign of strength and that excellent care should be available to individuals and families in all walks of life, whenever needed and without discrimination. FCA’s clinical services reach throughout western Connecticut and include group homes for children and adolescents who have been removed from their home environments by the CT Department of Children and Families, outpatient therapeutic programs, Therapeutic Foster Care program, and in-home and community-based services for children and families who are at-risk for, or are in the midst of crisis. FCA's main campus is located in Danbury, with additional offices in Waterbury, Torrington, New Britain, Shelton, Bridgeport and New Milford to better serve clients throughout western CT.

Founded in 1903, Klingberg Family Centers is a private, nonprofit multi-service agency providing help to thousands of persons across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, severe family problems and mental health issues. Through an array of group care, special education, foster care and community programs, children and parents are given the encouragement and skills they need to function more effectively at home, in school and in their community. On January 21, 1847, a group of Poughkeepsie women called the Female Guardian Society met to form the Poughkeepsie Orphan House and Home of the Friendless to care for the poor, abandoned and neglected in their communities, most especially the children. Their belief was that all children deserve a nurturing and caring environment. More than 175 years later, their work continues. Today, the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie provides a full range of Community Based Services and Residential Services giving hope and healing to at-risk children throughout New York State. High Watch was established in 1939 in Kent, Connecticut, as the world’s first 12-Step treatment center. Soldier On is a private nonprofit organization that has been committed to ending veteran homelessness since 1994. Soldier On’s mission is to help veterans reclaim their place in the community while returning meaning, dignity, and hope to their lives. Soldier On offers a continuum of ongoing care to veterans and their families that includes immediate and long-term housing with an array of support services delivered where they live. The goal is to provide homeless or at-risk homeless veterans with permanent, supportive, sustainable housing with services. Soldier On offers a variety of need-based housing solutions including emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent housing to effectively assist at-risk veterans. Soldier On provides direct supportive services and temporary financial assistance to veterans who are at-risk of homelessness in MA, NY, NJ, and PA through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. Soldier On has developed, constructed, and managed new and rehabbed permanent housing projects. The housing approach enables veterans to carry on healthy productive lives in homes of their own by integrating an array of support services delivered to them where they live. Soldier On has partnered with financial institutions to provide veterans and active duty service members the opportunity to gain free valuable resources for addressing credit and home issues to secure financial stability. Soldier On works with incarcerated and justice-involved veterans, operating multiple reintegration program.
