IMPACT works improve the economic competitiveness of the iron working industry. Our primary mission is to identify and expand job opportunities through progressive and innovative labor management cooperative programs. The IMPACT Regional Advisory Boards extend this approach, creating a national labor-management network that promotes discussion of issues affecting the industry as a whole and enables the creation of effective strategies for resolving concerns to create opportunities for the union iron working industry. A board of trustees composed of an equal number of labor and management representatives oversee IMPACT. Our Ironworker Local Unions and Signatory Contractors are committed to increasing the competitiveness and market share of the union iron working industry. IMPACT is a 501(c) nonprofit and is classified as a 302(c)9 organization under the Labor Relations Act.
