Miner Agricultural Research Institute is the present-day manifestation of the philosophy and principles once embodied in Heart's Delight Farm. Since its creation in 1951, the principal function has been, and continues to be, the economic improvement of agricultural operations through research, education, and demonstration. Miner Institute conducts research programs that apply basic science to contemporary problems confronting the dairy and equine industries. Our areas of focus include the crop-animal-environment interface, cow comfort and behavior, and equine reproductive management. Miner Institute delivers outstanding educational programs designed to train students to return to the dairy and equine industries in decision-making roles. Our continuing education programs disseminate practical animal-crop system information to producers and allied industry to enhance the future sustainability of dairy and equine production systems. The Stern Center for Language and Learning is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to life-changing learning for all. Since 1991, ReSOURCE has been empowering individuals and strengthening Vermont communities through Workforce Development, Poverty Relief, and Environmental Stewardship. Growing rapidly in the last decade and currently training over 300 people on average each year, ReSOURCE is matching Vermont’s urgent need for skilled workers with the training and support local employers need. We excel at adapting to community needs, and as Vermont’s un-and-under employed population has shifted to include more new Americans and Vermonters with disabilities, ReSOURCE has continued to evolve its job skills training to help more Vermonters prepare for and enter the workforce.

The Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium is a collaborative endeavor of three Vermont Colleges: Champlain College, Middlebury College and Saint Michael’s College. Partnered together, our goal is to find ways to reduce administrative costs and services common to all three institutions. This will create greater efficiency and help to reduce costs over the long term that will benefit our higher education communities. Our Mission To create and foster collaborative opportunities by serving as an agent for economic and educational initiatives that bring value to all members. The power of each school working collaboratively on non-competitive matters will increase the quality of services and lower administrative costs.

A4TD has built its extensive expertise in workforce development by operating innovative projects that serve the diverse needs of job seekers and incumbent workers. The company operates projects including the SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program- A4TD is one of the longest-serving and top-performing grantees in the country), the Vermont Returnship Program, and numerous demonstration projects with state and national partners. The demand for these services is growing as the demographics of our country’s labor force change.
