MACo enhances the public service mission of counties by promoting integrity and providing proactive leadership while acknowledging and respecting Montana’s diversity. MACo's goals include educating and developing relationships with legislators, state officials and local elected officials regarding county structure, budgeting and operations; providing education on self-determination techniques such as charter government and functional consolidation, and facilitating agreements; educating the public using press releases distributed to local media to market county government; and promoting effective tax reform including consideration of general sales tax.

Working in Montana’s Northern Great Plains, American Prairie is creating the largest nature reserve in the contiguous United States. Already underway, when complete the Reserve will connect a rare grassland landscape of public and private spaces one and a half times larger than Yellowstone National Park — teeming with an amazing diversity and abundance of native wildlife. American Prairie Reserve is funded exclusively by private individuals and foundations. We engage in science and education projects, provide public access and help expand economic opportunities for local communities. National Geographic describes our work as “one of the most ambitious conservation efforts in American history.”

The Mission of the Boone and Crockett Club has remained relatively unchanged for over 130 years. Over time the Club has seen many challenges to the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation, which it helped to create, as well as to the traditions of hunting. When and where necessary, the Club has taken action to protect this Model, our wildlife resources, the habitats that support them, and hunting and other forms of outdoor recreation. As a part of this process the Club has developed positions that support its beliefs and Mission.
