The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 organization that promotes understanding and cooperation among the nations and peoples of Asia and the United States. Maureen and Mike Mansfield’s values, ideals and vision for U.S.-Asia relations continue through the Foundation’s exchanges, dialogues and publications, which create networks among U.S. and Asian leaders, explore the underlying issues influencing public policies, and increase awareness about the nations and peoples of Asia. The Foundation receives support from individuals, corporations and philanthropic organizations. It also provides support to The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center at The University of Montana.

Project WET (Water Education Today) advances water education to understand global challenges and inspire local solutions. Since 1984, tens of millions of people around the world have learned about water using Project WET’s interactive, hands-on activities. Through its worldwide network of implementing partners, Project WET is active in all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries.

Missoula International School is an International Baccalaureate World School authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is an internationally acclaimed educational organization renowned for its focus on academic rigor and emphasis on active world citizenship. The IBO includes a Primary Years Programme (PYP) for primary grades, a Middle Years Programme (MYP) for middle school grades, and a Diploma Programme for the final years of high school. There are more than 752,000 IB students at 2,729 schools in 138 countries. MIS is proud to be the first IB World School authorized to provide the PYP in the US Northwest (Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Washington and Oregon). Spanning preschool to fifth grade, the PYP provides an educational framework for MIS teachers and students that is complementary to a language immersion philosophy. The PYP promotes integrated, inquiry-based learning and allows MIS teachers to build upon the natural curiosity inherent in children.

Manhattan Christian School was started in 1907 by a group of parents who wished to provide their children with a quality education from a Biblical perspective.Manhattan Christian currently serves 300 students preschool- 12th grade with Christ-centered education.As an OPI accredited school, Manhattan Christian offers many classes and AP level courses. MCS Eagle athletics are competitive in MHSA Class C tournaments around the state of Montana.

Alberta Bair Theater of Performing Arts - Billings, Montana I started at ABT as a PT ticket sales rep while in High School and managed 3 different departments when I left 11 years later. Working with the 250+ volunteers that did everything from artist hospitality to concessions to ushering taught me more than anything I learned in college during that same time period. * Responsible for all aspects of customer satisfaction, fulfilling renter, performer and patron needs * Controlled the sales and distribution of ticket inventory, including settlement of outlet sales * Negotiated outlet sales for other venues through the Ticket Office * Supervised the use of facility during events * Negotiated rental contracts for use of theater and lobby space * Managed concessions sales and inventory and Performing Artist hospitality * Guaranteed VIP and Sponsor recognition and ticketing at all events * Managed off-site events, securing, training and managing off-site staff * Scheduled, trained, and supervised Box Office and Front of House staff of paid and volunteer personnel, coordinating benefits and award programs * Recruited, scheduled, trained and supervised over 250 Volunteer Ushers, Hospitality and Concessionaires * Actively served on Programming, Marketing, Education, and Facilities Committees for Theater

Education creates empowerment, encourages growth and opportunity, and combats ignorance and fear. Central Asia Institute strives to increase access to education in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan – countries where education is most desperately needed. For more than 20 years we’ve worked where many NGOs haven’t ventured, where there are often no roads, no schools, and no hope. We start at the end of the road with the communities most in need of help. Our methods leave convention behind in favor of real-world solutions that make the most difference. Each community faces different obstacles to education, and a one size fits all approach just won’t work. Over the years we’ve developed a variety of programs to meet the needs that traditional programs may not cover. These include construction of schools, vocational training for older women, literacy, scholarships, health and clean water access, and more. As communities grow, their needs change and we are ready to help them. While Central Asia Institute programs educate both girls and boys, we’ve found that focusing on girls creates the biggest impact. Girls and women with education are more likely to share this knowledge with their children, families, and communities. Unfortunately, these women and girls may have a more difficult time accessing education than their male counterparts. A girl who is educated is less likely to become a child bride or die in childbirth, and her family will be healthier. She can help raise her family out of poverty by bringing home more money with every year of schooling she completes. When women are educated, it improves the wellbeing of the whole society.
