Missouri Ozarks Community Action (MOCA) is a non-profit community action agency, comprised of people helping people. MOCA is dedicated to assisting low-income families and individuals in the eight Missouri counties of Camden, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Phelps, and Pulaski.
MOCA’s goal is to help low-income people become self-sufficient. This is accomplished through the aid of federal, state, local, and private resources.
MOCA is governed by a tripartite Board of Directors. 1/3 of MOCA’s board represents public officials, 1/3 represents private sector individuals, and 1/3 represents our low-income constituency. In addition to setting corporate policy, MOCA’s board seeks to address the causes of poverty in its communities.
MOCA oversees several programs, including the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), Energy Assistance, Head Start, Section 8 Housing, and Weatherization.
